Homeless dog infested by hundreds of maggots recovered

We got a call to help a poor dog with a horrific gaping wound on the right side of his head. We found him unconscious, lying on the road side. His right ear was eaten by maggots & even his right eye was infested with maggots.
We cleaned his wound, removed all maggots (500+). All dead tissues were removed & antibiotics was given to reduce infection and inflammation. Luckily, his vision on right was saved. Over the next 1 month, with regular dressing & follow up the dog made an incredible recovery.
